Career Day Is March 7

Gaining a better understanding of certain vocations is the objective of the Career day, to be held on Wednesday, March 7. It will last through the first and second periods, and all students will be involved.

The juniors and seniors will meet in classrooms and hear speakers explain vocations of their choice. The upperclassmen will have almost all interests included in the 45 vocations represented.

The speakers will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of their careers. There will also be a time for questions.

While the juniors and seniors are visiting various occupation discussions, the freshmen and sophomores will attend an assembly and listen to a guest speaker. Mr. Clifford Hollister, a member of the Illinois State Employment Service, will explain the need for proper selection of an occupation and the methods of training used in the various vocations.

The sophomore assembly will be first period and the freshmen assembly will be second period.
