Have We Forgotten Peter?

This is the most recent letter from our Greek foster child Peter Pyrros (November '61):

Dear Foster Parents,
I again received the grant of $8 for the month of November that you sent me, and I want to thank you very much. I pray God to keep you healthy since you are protecting me, and maybe some day I might be able to pay you back this great favor that you are doing to me. Dear foster parents, on the eleventh of November a parade was held on the occasion of the liberation of our is[and. To our class which is the first year of the Naval High School were added three more naval lessons: the history of the Merchant Marine, the Naval Economic Geography, and Navigation. In the afternoons we have rowing and sailing. I like the profession of the marine very much. My dear foster parents, will you please send me a letter because when I don't hear from you I think you have forgotten me. Will you send me a picture of yours? I am sending you my greetings with love.

Peter
