Society Tests For Members

Testing for students interested in acceptance in the Historical society will be held on April 2.

Mrs. Alice Aegerter, social science teacher and sponsor of Historical society, explained that to be eligible to take the entrance examination, students must be presently enrolled in United States history I and have a grade of A or B for the semester and third quarter.

The competitive test covering American history will be objective. The students receiving the top 35 grades will receive history honors. The students with the

seven best grades will take an essay test. The student with the highest grade on this second will be given the Best History Student award. Joe Mitchell '62, won this award last year.

Initiation into the society will be at a dessert to be held on May 7 in the student lounge.

Officers of the society are Larry Lashway '62, president; Don Matheson '62, vice‑president; Mary Anna Matteson '62, secretary; and Craig Seitz '62, treasurer.

Students interested in taking the test should sign up with their history teacher.
