Being in the upper five per cent of his class and having no grade lower than a "B" are the requirements for a junior to be eligible for the National Honor society. From the junior class, nine girls and five boys were elected. The 14 new members are Mark Bade, John Collister, Bill Dautel, Kathy Ditton, Ingrid Gustus, Kay Hauck, Sue Lane, Sue Luebbers, Sue MacHattie, Valerie Olson, Fran Piraino, Steve Priest, Jim Ramsey, and Janice Wandrey.

A senior must be in the upper 25 per cent of his class and have maintained a "B" average to be inducted into the society. Leadership, service, and character also enter into the selection of the members. The new members are Gail Benes, Sue Berg, John Bernero, Carol Bora, Sue Brinkman, Ed Bushlus, Mary Canar, Connie Carlson, Kathy Christian, Mary Dormeyer, Lora Eckert, Tom Edman, Margie Fedder, Joe Figard, Sharon Fogeiquist, Jeanne Franzen, Kathy Glade, Brian Hales, Nancy Harrison, and Kris Hatfield.
