V-Show Production Steps Up
As Opening Approaches

Variety show production is now in full swing. On April 5, 6, and 7 at 8 o'clock, the curtains will part, and the '62 V-show, composed of drama, monologues, dancing, singing, comedy, effective lighting and scenery, and everything that characterizes a terrific show, will be seen by the students of Maine West.

"The title of this year's Variety show will be chosen very soon," remarked Joyce McGarvey '62, student director. Mr. Gerald Boyer, faculty advisor, relinquishing all ideas of a theme, declared, "The show will be strictly review."

Dance chorus is learning their routines under the skillful direction of Barb White '62, choreographer; and her assistants, Dianne Defranco '65 and Jan Priebe '63. Jack Williams '62, musical director, with the assistance of Mr. Robert Kuite has chosen the music for the show, while the whole V‑show staff has industriously collaborated to write a script.

Publicity is being taken care of by the social committee of Student Council. Sharon Fogelquist '62 and Janie Jacobs '62 are putting up posters in Des Plaines, and in the Tempo Music center in the Harlem-Irving plaza.

The following acts were chosen and are identified by their act captains. Their selection was based on coordination, originality, and potential movement, poise, and adaptability.
