Forty‑seven awards in competition with other students in the Northeastern Illinois Regional Scholastic Art awards were collected by West students recently.

Gold keys and blue ribbons were awarded to George Cassetari '62, Nancy Lindemann '63, Jim Lunetto '62, Mike Melton '62, Joyce McGarvey '62 (who got two blue ribbons), and Linda Bortnichak '62, who also received the Hallmark award.

Those receiving the golden key awards were Gayle Bauman '62, Russ Dillingham '63, Daniel Meyer '63, Sandy Nichols '62, Dick Pate '64, and Tom Prochaska '63.

Place awards were also given. Students receiving these do not get ribbons but have their pictures shown in Evanston. Recipients were Marilyn Alfini '62, Constance Andersen '64, Marcia Bragg '62, George Connelly '65, Mike Drohan '62, Marietta Foss '62, and Gail Horn '65.

Also Susan Kristan '62, Janet Mack '62, Mike Melton '62, Dorothy Nelson '65, Sandy Nichols '62, Carolyn Rogivue '62, Scott Ross '62, Karen Strom '63, Norm Taylor '62, Bob Taylor '63, and Shirrin Waltmire '63.

Two place awards were given to John Aegerter '63, Russ Dillingham '63, Jeanne Franzen '62, Carol Jensen '63, Nancy Lindemann '63, and Dan Meyer '63.

Three place awards went to Linda Bortnichak '62, Stealey Branch '64, and Kip Dodge '62.

Gayle Bauman and Joyce McGarvey received four place awards, while Tom Prochaska garnered five.
