Sophomores Sandy Kunkel, Chris Peterson, Linda Petkus, Cindy Schorr, and freshmen Connie Harper and Cheri Mercer cheered their way onto the frosh‑soph cheerleading squad, Thursday, September 13.

The girls were taught t h e cheers by the Varsity squad in the cheerleading clinic held September 7‑11. Fifty‑five girls participated in the preliminaries held September 12. Of the 55 girls, 16 finalists were chosen.

The finalists were sophomores S. Cober, A. Dickison, L. Drews, D. Keller, G. Knudson, S. Kunkel, S. Lesniak, C. Peterson, L. Petkus, and C. Schorr. The frosh finalists were H. Hall, C. Harper, C. Mercer, P. Silk, and L. Wright.

The judges for the finals were Jim Burgett '63, Ron Erdman '63, Nan Franczkowski '64, Barb Georgans '63, and Mr. Fred Bencriscutto, Mr. Gaston Freeman, Miss Barbara Hulse, Miss Gail Mackros, Miss Martha Peterson, and Miss Kathryn Pierce.
