Enrollment Sets 4‑Year Record

A new record for Maine West was set when 2,579 students started classes on Tuesday, September 4. Approximately 100 students more than last years estimation of 2,465 began school. Tuesday began another hectic year of the mad dashes from wing to wing to get to classes on time.

Even though the number of students has increased, and will still be increasing as the years go by, it has not been found necessary to have nine periods at the present time.

There are 490 seniors. 625 juniors, 811 sophomores, and 653 freshmen in the halls everyday making their weary way to classes.
