"My greatest thrills were scoring a 64‑yard touchdown against Prospect and scoring two touchdowns in the first game that I actually played in," exclaimed Al Klehr, this week's Warrior of the West.

This speedy Maine West student, who is now a senior, has one varsity letter for broad jumping in track, and is working for his second letter in football. Playing on both offense and defense "Big Al" stated, "We have a solid offense and defense, and the team has a good chance of winning the conference title."

Al, who is a 6 foot, 2 inch blonde, also likes to play the drums in his spare time. Pies and any meat except liver are rated as the favorite foods used to build up his 185‑pound frame. The only foods that Al disapproves of are sauerkraut and most vegetable greens.

After graduation from Maine West, Al's future plans include attending the University of Wisconsin in Madison.
