Students! Beware of Spring!

Winter has become a drawn out, icy antagonist who refuses to release its grip on Maine West (and the rest of the country). Yet, a few signs of relief are appearing. The snow no longer remains long, the robin sings his song, and everyone says, "Dear sweet load of homework, carefully prepared and completed while burning the midnight oil, we bid you so‑long!"

Unfortunately, spring's fair air is apt to arouse in Maine West students a desire to fling aside homework and studies and,

after a long winter's absence, rejoin Nature in the reborn sweetness of the April air. Nay, nay, little chickadees, this is no way to keep freedom, peace, and liberty (and at least a "B" average).

Though stale and stiff from hitting the books all winter, Maine West students have an obligation to themselves and to their country. So, work on. The first one to get his homework done before 9 p.m. tonight wins the Personnel office and all its personnel.
