Warriors Drum Beats

"Do you think homework is necessary"? was the question asked of students the past week. Here are the answers.

Cheri Anderson '65, "I do not believe homework is necessary every night, but in some subjects it is necessary most of the time in order to gain an understanding of the work."

Joyce De Pauw '63, "Yes, it is necessary. How would the teachers feel if they couldn't assign homework?"

Mike Fluegel '66, "I think homework is important because it gives you a chance to find out if you know what you are doing in class. When you do homework, you find out your strong and weak points. Without any homework you could not learn as much. To learn anything you must study."

Jean Mead '64, "Definitely! Without several hours of homework each night to keep a student occupied, there would be much more vandalism in our society."

Mike O'Neil '64, "My two and one‑half years at Maine West have proved to me that homework is necessary."

Barb Georgans '63, "Yes, but I don't like it!''

Ken Miller '63, "Yes, I think homework is very necessary. It helps one study, but some teachers over‑do it!"
