GAA will award a $250 scholarship to one 1963 Maine West girl graduate for the 1963‑64 school year. The purpose of the scholarship is to allow some worthy Maine West senior girl to continue her education.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the applicant must be an active member in good standing of the GAA. That applicant with the longest record of active membership will be given priority. She must show sufficient financial need for receiving the scholarship. Also, the applicant must have been accepted by the school or college of her choice at the time of selection.

GAA obtained the money for the scholarship from the football concessions last fall. The scholarship will be awarded every year.
Applicants will be chosen by a committee composed of Miss Barbara Bovenmeyer, Miss Corrine Clarke, Miss Kathryn Pierce, Arlene Boyer '64, and Marilyn Jenks '65.
"Giving a scholarship has been the GAA goal for many years. I am proud to state that this year GAA has succeeded in attaining such a goal," concluded Lynn Holm '63, GAA president.
