80 Embark To Capital

Springfield will be invaded by Maine West on Friday, April 26, when 80 students will take the fourth annual historical tour, sponsored by Tri-S.

Students will leave the bus concourse at 7 am. and arrive at the Capitol at 10:30. Once in Springfield the group will visit Lincoln's home, tomb and memorial, the Capital building, the Illinois Centennial building, and New Salem park.

Sponsor of the trip is Mr. E. U. Edstrom, social science teacher. Included in the $9 cost is the bus fare and all admission fees.

Pre-excused slips, which may be picked up and returned to the attendance office, are required; the fee is to be paid in the bookstore.

The bus will leave Springfield at 7 p.m. and arrive at the school about 11 p.m. According to Mr. Edstrom, students are to make their arrangements for transportation home.
