Newspaperman To Speak at
Quill-Scroll Banquet

Mr. Robert Nelson, midwest manager for the Christian Science Monitor newspaper, will be the guest speaker at the annual Quill and Scroll banquet. The banquet will be held at 6:30 tonight, in the Banquet room of Nielsen's restaurant.

The banquet will be attended by students connected with the yearbook and The Westerner. The cost will be $3.50 per person. There will be a dinner choice of either fish, turkey, chicken, or ham.

At the banquet, pins will be presented to worthy students who have written 100 inches for the paper or have been on the yearbook staff for a year or more. It is necessary that students be in the upper one‑third of their class. Also, next year's Westerner staff will be announced.

The present Quill and Scroll officers are Rick Geertz '63, president; and SuJane Schreyer '63, vice‑president.

This year's Westerner senior initiates to Quill and Scroll are Dick Chamberlain, Edward Churney, Glen Jackson, Kem Lenke, Fran Piraino, Linda Schoeman, and Terry Zach.

Junior initiates are Bill Fernow and Barbara Sigalove. From the Legend staff the following will be initiated: Val Engges Ken Miller, Jane Pressl, and Karen Rivard, juniors.
