Class of '63 Leaves Globe

The gift of a 24‑inch political physical globe was given to the school library. It displays interest in learning and knowledge inherited in the mind of the graduating class of '63.

The addition of this, globe to the library facilities will enhance, as well as enliven the "Current Events Center" of the school for years to come. A member of the library staff commented, "This globe should aid in

the student's geographical knowledge. Too many adults today are ignorant of the geographical location of specified areas in the news."

The legible print, the guides, and the immediate availability of the globe should encourage future students to utilize this learning tool regularly. "Thanks to the Seniors of '63" from all present and future students of Maine West.
