Aquiana Show Opens Tonight

"Round the Campus," the name of this year's Aquiana swim show, is based on a theme of college life and will be held in the Maine West pool on October 26 and 27. The shows will start at 8:15 p.m. and last about an hour and a half.

Tickets will be sold during all lunch periods on October 26, for 75 cents. Students from Glenbrook and Niles high schools planning to attend have bought blocks of seats.

The Chorallers will sing "Halls of Ivy," "Whiffenpoof Song," "On Wisconsin," and "Hail to the Orange." The Modern dance club will also be featured in dances on the deck.

The two solo swimmers performing will be Ginger Knudsen '65, and Fran Toay '63. Two duets will be done, one by Rick Schultz '65, guest swimmer from the swimming team, with Cindy Schorr '65, and the other by Chris Klehr '64, with Judy Larson '64. Special numbers illustrating certain strokes will be performed with a marching band in the water. A Homecoming queen, Virginia Schaefer '65, will be escorted by John Gunderson '65, also from the swimming team. The queen will be presented with the crown by five‑year‑old Mary Johnson.

"It will be the best show ever given because the girls here worked hard," explained Miss Dawn Butler, physical education teacher and sponsor of Aquiana club.
