Mainites, relive and recapture the memorable highlights of an action‑filled year at Maine West. Take advantage of your opportunity to purchase your copy of the Legend for 1963.
The Maine West yearbook will be sold for $3.50 during all lunch periods in the cafeteria October 29 through November 2. Students may make a down payment of $1.50 and pay the remaining $2 next spring when the yearbooks are distributed.
"The staff feels that this should be the best Legend we have put out to date," asserted Legend sponsor, Mr. George Walker Jr. Individual pictures of all students, athletic teams, societies, administrative personnel, faculty members, and organizations will be supplemented with written descriptions. In addition pictures of all the most memorable

and important events of the school year, including Homecoming activities, dances, candidates for Student Council offices, the music department performances, and major stage productions will be included.
"The Legend will be bigger and better with a greatly improved cover," promises editor‑in‑chief, Rick Geertz '63. To create new interest and variety, all clubs will be photographed with members in action. Legends definitely will not be sold next spring.
Assisting Rick in preparing this year's Legend are Valerie Enggas '64, f a cult y editor; Dave Jeffrey '63, senior editor; Ken Miller '64, sports editor; Valerie Olson '63, business manager; Jane Pressl '64, class editor; and Karen Rivard '64, editor of clubs, organizations, and activities.
