Under the expert guidance of Mrs. L. Larkin, baton instructor at Prospect, Maine East, Palatine, and Maine West, the Maine West Majorettes made their first public appearance during half‑time of the Homecoming game last Friday. The majorettes are sponsored by the music department under the supervision of Mr. Robert Kuite.

"The girls must meet high standards before they can become members of the twirling group," related Mr. Kuite. "They are selected on the basis of satisfactory academic achievement, personality,

willingness to work, co-operative spirit, good school attitude, physical coordination, and the recommendation of a faculty member. They also must meet height and weight requirements."

The majorettes are Darlene Beyer '65, Vicki Eisenbacher '65, Leah Forcell '64, Nan Franczkowski '65, Rebecca Heinrich '66, Gail Horn '65, Mary Jefferson '65, Kris Knutson '64, Malyia Linde '66, Barb Schell '65, Marilyn Skeppstrom '65, Annette Sobb '65, Kathie Sulik '65, Ruth Wagner '64 and Allyson Weather '65.
