New Record Set for Mile

Running the course with a time of 4:40, Richard Bayster '63, set a new school‑intramural record for the one‑mile cross country run last week.

Following close behind in the senior division were Torn O'Rourke with a time of 4:57; Bob Bayster, 5:03; Bill Dryden, 5:10; Leroy Schlegel, 5:17; Brad Miller, 5:25; and Mike Enriquez, 5:25.5.

In the junior division, honors went to Hank Blenner, champion, with a time of 5:02; second place, Larry Pintuck, 5:06; third place Bob Gundelach, 5:07; fourth place, Bob Sackrison, 5:20; fifth place, Tom Lowden, 5:22; sixth place, Rick Johnson, 5:30; and seventh place, Warren Mickelson, 5:32.

Frosh‑Soph Golf

Randy Black came out as champion in the freshman golf competition. In second place was Don Kennett; Jim Meyer, third; Ed Stec, fourth; and Dennis Doyle, fifth.

For the sophomores Gary Wilcox was victorious. Randy Dean came in second; Ray Gennelli and John Kennett tied for third. There were no entries in the junior and senior divisions.
