Maine West's varsity gymnasts travel to Evanston for the opening meet of the season, November 30, at 4:30 p.m. Evanston is going to prove "tough competition" for any school this year because all of last year's team is returning.

Gerry Peterson, on the parallel bars; Jack Peterson, tumbling; Rog Halvorsen, on the side horse; Fred Bach, tumbling; and Terry Bishop, on the high bar, are the returning letterman for this year.

Coach Sidney Drain, head coach of both the varsity and frosh‑soph teams, said, "We are especially weak in still rings and trampoline, but we hope to have a .500 season.
