The varsity tank squad will travel to Oak Park Monday for their first meet of the season. Mr. Harold Baer is head coach again this season.

Coach Baer stated that he will be happy if the tankmen can match the 12‑5 record they returned in last season. According to Coach Baer the toughest conference teams will be Proviso West and Glenbrook. The toughest non‑conference opponents will be the always powerful Evanston team and also Oak Park.

The squad has 11 returning lettermen who will be counted heavily upon. They are Art Behm, Jim Burgett, Bill Eley, Steve Elling, Pat Gassner John Gunderson, Tom Johns, Tom Kelly, John Kerber, Jimo Kuhrt, Per Lundgren, and Bill Schacht. Also returning are the managers Jim and John Kuttnauer.

The frosh‑soph squad will again be headed by Coach Roy Kearns.
