'Twas Christmas vacation
And all through the nation
Not a student was working,
Thus ruining relaxation.
Homework was piled on by the ton
In vain hopes by teachers that it would be done;
Why slave on homework when we can have fun?
There are so many chances for skates and sleds,
So why be bothered with using our heads?!
It is our time to eat, sleep, and be merry
Since school deprives these things we find necessary.
The end comes quickly for the year, gifts and all.
As you hear Santa's bells and
"Merry Christmas to all,"
They're really the class bells you hear in the hall.
