Record Sales Begin in Jan.

Have you recently noticed anyone loitering in the halls between periods with a microphone clipped to his shirt, or perhaps someone signaling up at the ceiling during assemblies? Nothing is wrong with him; he's probably only working on this year's Memory Record. The Memory Record is offered each year by the Student Council as a non‑profit project. It will go on sale in January, but as yet no price has been set.

Busily heading the '62‑'63 record this year are Dick Pate '64, head of sales; Keith Johnson '64, technical head; Tim Redmer '64, head of publicity; and Davis Hall '64, head of script.

"This year's Memory Record is combining Maine's best talent and creativity into something that is really going to be different," expressed Keith. "Different is not the word," added Dick. "This record will bear no resemblance to records of previous years. It will have humor and appeal. It will be something to remember."

Publicity will be starting soon. As Tim put it, "We will be trying entirely new approaches and new techniques to help push this project. The Student Council sponsors this record each year purely as a service to the student body. This year the student body will be aware of this."
