Stagecrafters Club
Members Display Talents
Plenty of hammering, shouting, painting, and. confusion added to the toilsome work of the Stagecrafters as they completed the set for the Senior Class play, their first assignment this year. Paint brushes, paste, nails, hammers, ladders, lights, scripts, and planks are only a few tools representing this craft. This organization is open to all students interested in displaying their creative talents, participating in set construction, receiving companionship with fellow workers, tasting a phase of leadership, learning the art of lighting, and appreciating stage craft itself.
Students in stagecrafters earn honorary points while they work. For each ten hours of participation the student receives one point.
When a member has accumulated 100 hours of work, he has not only earned ten points, but also the honor of being a member of the Thespian society, a select honorary group.
V-Show and the Music department's musical show are on the Stagecrafter's agenda for future assignments.
Keith Johnson '64, president; Davis Hall '64, vice-president; Barb Jersey '63, secretary-treasurer; and Mr. James Killam, sponsor, are the administrative body of the club.
