A Time of Year

By Sharon Geach '64

When papas don their Santa suits,
And children run around in boots;

When church bells ring,
And carolers sing;

When the mistletoe's up,
And the cocoa's in the cup;

When the popcorn's strung,
And the ornaments hung;

When cookies you bake,
And pictures you take;

When the shoppers don't tarry,
And you feel so merry;

When the gifts are wrapped,
And your lips are chapped;

When the snow has fallen,
And sleigh bells are callin';

When faces are glowing,
And everyone's knowing:

It's that certain time of year
For Santa and his eight reindeer.
