Coach Carlini Always Busy

Sailing, painting, and all sports rate very high with Mr. Richard Carlini, masked marvel of Maine West.

Originally from Cicero, Illinois, coach Carlini received his bachelor's degree in physical education at Northwestern university, and his master's degree at Northern Illinois.

Being active is not unusual for him, as he is varsity wrestling coach, a freshmen football coach, and a sponsor of the Boat club.

For his first three years at Maine West, Mr. Carlini has a 50 per cent record. Coach Carlini states, "This year our goal is to try to better the record. The 1962‑63 team is the best balanced team with the most depth that we have ever had at Maine West. However, every team in the conference is a threat, and every meet will be tough."

Coach Carlini concluded by saying, "Maine West is a fine school, but I would like to see more spirit and greater participation in all sports."
