Student Council is working hard on its biggest project of the year raising $2,000 on a Care drive. The money will be used to buy library books, science kits, and gym kits through Care for a boy's school in Columbia, South America (see October 26 issue).
The drive will be concentrated during one week, January 21‑25. On Monday nominations for the boy with the most beautiful legs will be held, and taffy apples will be sold at all exits for 15 cents. Tuesday, pictures of the six semi‑finalists in the leg contest will be posted in the cafeteria. In the cafeteria Wednesday through Friday anyone can vote for his favorite pair of legs without knowing the owner, one vote for a penny or five for a nickel.
Tuesday after school from 3:30 to 4 p.m. in the auditorium the Pom‑Pom squad and the cheerleaders will play volleyball against the M‑club. The M‑club will play the game three‑legged, but will have a team of 12; the girls will have a rotating team of six. Tickets, 25 cents per person will be sold at the door.

10‑Cent Day
Wedensday after school in the cafeteria, "10‑cent day" will be from 3:30 to 4:30. All four classes, Pep club, Boy's club, and M‑club will have booths. A lecture and a film on Hong Kong by Mr. Thomas Schmidt will be held in the auditorium Thursday night. Tickets for this event can be obtained from any SC representative.
For 25 cents anyone can get into a record hop on Friday in the cafeteria. Busses will be scheduled for after the hop. The award for the winner of the leg contest will be presented, council will serve free cokes, and the Note‑Ables will play.
