LEADERS IN THE POINT system inaugurated this year for participation in boys' Intramural athletics are seniors, Bill Dryden 215; juniors, Keith Kocher, 235; sophomores, Ray Gennelli 205; and freshmen, Dennis Doyle 501 points. Eventual winners will be awarded the trophies on display in the east foyer of the swimming pool.
IN THE RECENT HOLIDAY TOURNEY Al Waters was picked for the all‑tourney team. The Warriors broke four records ‑ the highest scoring game, fewest fouls in one game, most points in one quarter, and highest total of points for the tourney.
THE JV BASKETBALL team will face Niles West Saturday at Niles West just before the varsity game.
Undefeated since the Christmas holiday, the quintet has dumped West Leyden and Morton West by scores of 39‑30 and 53‑42, respectively.
Ray Bartholomae was the high scorer in both these games. He racked up 16 points in each.
THE JUNIOR VARSITY WRESTLERS will meet West Leyden tonight and Niles West tomorrow.
In their only meet since Christmas vacation, they were "nosed out" by Morton West 22‑20. Morton's grapplers are now in first place in the junior varsity competition.
Coach Barringer credits the loss to a forfeit at the 133‑pound weight class. Only two pins were recorded in this meet, one by Toman of Morton in the 127‑pound weight class and one by Rosenberg of Maine West in the heavyweight division.
