Seniors Al Klehr, Mike McClaine, Bill Dautel, and LeRoy Schlegel and juniors Paul Neuman and Earl White are the returning lettermen to this year's varsity track team. Coach Joe Jobst will again head the coaching staff. The assistant coaches are Charles Lawyer, Don Magsamen, Ray Ross, and Ed Smith.

Sprinting seems to be the best event for the tracksters with Schlegel and McClaine handling the duties. Hurdling could also prove tough with White, Bob Tatge, and Bruce Congalton. The distance races are weak but have two strong points with John Schneider and Rick Bayster handling the chores. The four‑lap relay is also strong with Schlegel, McClaine, Klehr, Don Andrews and Bernie Braun all battling for positions.
