New Assistant Librarian Graduated
from Austin

Have you noticed a new addition to the library? It is Miss Meredith Coy, our new assistant librarian. Miss Coy came to Maine West in December after practice‑teaching English at Maine East. This semester Miss Coy will have one freshman English class, along with her duties in the library. Starting in September, she will be teaching English classes only.

Miss Coy is a resident of Itasca, Illinois. She graduated from Austin High school in Chicago, where she was on Student Council and in Tri-Hi-Y. She attended

Northwestern university where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English. Miss Coy chose Northwestern because she believed she would receive a valuable and fine education there. Miss Coy has been interested in teaching since fifth grade.

Aside from teaching and working in the library, Miss Coy likes to play bridge and read, and she enjoys classical music. Her favorite author is William Faulkner. Miss Coy has traveled in Colorado, New York, and Wyoming.
