GAA Gymnasts Practice
Mondays and Wednesdays

GAA is starting the new semester with a basketball tournament. For all girls who are interested in participating, the teams will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Girls' basketball rules have been changed. According to the new rules, each team has two roving players; that is, two persons, one roving guard and one roving forward, can play on both sides of the basketball court. This change was made to make the girls' game more like the fellows'.

Members of the All‑star volleyball team are Lynn Holm '63, Kay Van Alsburg '63, Maria Salazar '63, Kem Lenke '63, Pat Stein '63, and Jan Virostko '64. Honorary mention was given to Fran Toay '63, and Karen Johnson '64.

The faculty, challenging the winning team, won two out of three games with scores of 11 to 5 and 14 to 12. The faculty versus the All‑star team had scores of 7 to 3, 8 to 10, and 4 to 13, with the All‑stars winning the challenge.

If you like crawling around on a set of uneven bars or balancing on a beam, GAA gymnastics is for you. The gymnasts meet every Monday and Wednesday in C‑wing gym.
