Today, February 22, is the last day students may register to vote for next year's president and secretary of Student Council. Registration will take place after school today from 3:15 to 3:45 in the social room. All students must register in order to vote.
Headquarters Open Tomorrow
Campaign headquarters will be open tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on February 25, 26, and 27 from 4:30 p.m. The hall skits for the candidates, in which animals and musical instruments are not allowed, will begin February 25, end February 27, and will last from 7 to 8:05 before school. While no campaigning will be allowed in the gyms after school, hail skits can take place after school from 3:15 to 3:45.
On Thursday, February 28, two assemblies will be held. The first assembly, periods 1 and 2a, will be for freshmen and juniors, and the second assembly, periods 2b and 3, will be for sophomores and seniors. It is in these assemblies that each candidate and his campaigners stage their traditional pre‑election skits.
The vital part of election week, however, is voting. Voting will be held on February 28 after school from 3:15 to 4 and all day March 1 from 7:30 to 8 in the morning, during all lunch periods, and after school from 3:15 to 4:45.

Election Jitney, March 2
On Saturday, March 2, the annual election jitney will be held from 8 to 11 p.m. Tickets for the jitney may be purchased all next week in the bookstore for 35 cents each.
Frank Vaia, chairman of the Student Council Organizations committee, sums up the general outlook on the coming elections. "In order for election week to be beneficial, the entire student body has to participate. Registering and campaigning are ways in which the students can do this. It must be remembered that all students must register in order to vote. This is vitally important."
Melissa will probably park my car in the garage and return my tormented person to the jurisdiction of my poker‑playing parents. As Melissa sprints away to her house, rolling her inner tube beside her, I will sink into sugarplum dreams of Laura Lee, a new crank case for my transmission, and the joyous promise of 364 days before the next girls' choice dance.
