Clubs Reveal '63 Officers
" Hola " This Spanish "hello" might be your greeting from Mr. Don Smith, sponsor of the Spanish club, if you came to the meetings the third Thursday of each month.

Alice Long '63, president; Carla Rothe '63, vice-president; Rita Pabich '65, secretary-treasurer; and Todd Riddell '64, publicity chairman and general manager, are the officers of the club.

Future plans include a trip to a Spanish restaurant in Chicago to hear Latin American music and typical Spanish.

Russian Club

"Zgpabebyute" is the typical greeting you will hear in Russian club, sponsored by Mr. Gustave Carlson. The club has about 20 members, who have learned Russian folk songs and dances. The third and fourth year students occasionally translate film strips at the meetings.

Club officers are Lois Wright 63, president; and Dick Cornelius '65, secretary-treasurer.

"Future plans are not definite," related Mr. Carlson, "but we hope to have a skating party and learn more Russian folk songs and dances. If any Russian films arrive in Chicago, the club will probably go to see them."
Latin Club

Sometime during the last week of February, the Latin club, along with the other language clubs at Maine West, will present a "language review" consisting of glimpses of projects that they have accomplished, and events which have taken place in the past five months.

The clubs will also present scenes from the Greek drama "Circe" and the Latin mime "Taurus Ferdinandus." In addition to this, the Latin club will model Roman costumes.

The plans and preparations for the review are not definite at the present time, but president Doris Taylor '64, is confident that the event will bring satisfying results. The other Latin club officers, Pat Vogel '64, vice-president; Dotty McMannis '64, secretary; and Inger Svenson '64, treasurer, agree with this.
