Election week was concluded by the announcement of next year's Student Council president and secretary at the election jitney last Saturday night.
Barry Eisfeldt '64, received a gavel with the congratulations and good‑luck wishes for next year's Student Council presidency from Tom Prochaska '63. Barry remarked, "Realizing the duties and responsibilities entailed with the office of Student Council president, I will sincerely strive to do the best of my ability for the success and betterment of our Student Council. I am confident that next year will not be just another year in Student Council history. With the high representative potential present, I believe that the 1963‑64 school year will be the most productive year in West's history." Barry was also given a pin at the election jitney signifying his new office.

Diane Receives Pin
Diane Clarke '64, was awarded a pin by Pat Ritter '63, signifying her new office as next year's Student Council secretary. Diane commented, "I would like to thank everyone who came out and worked, especially my campaign manager, Karen Strom. I will do my best to help make next year a successful one for the Student Council."
The candidates were first notified concerning the results of the election at the Student Council banquet preceding the jitney. The Student Council members were present at this banquet. The results of the election were announced to the remaining portion of the student body at the election jitney when the new officers received their pins from this year's officers.
