Interim Splits To 2 Leagues

The Interim League, which last year disclosed its intention to split into divisions, has announced its final details of the separation.

The 13 schools, along with others to be added later, will be broken into the Mid-Suburban and Des Plaines Valley conferences, effective next fall.

Competing in the Mid-Suburban will be Maine West, Deerfield, Glenbrook North, Glenbrook South, Forest View, and Prospect.

Des Plaines Valley members will be Morton West, Proviso West, Leyden East, Leyden West, Willowbrook, and Niles West.

Wheaton and Glenbard East, current members of the Interim, will join the new Up-state Eight along with DeKalb, Naperville, Aurora East, Aurora West, Elgin, and Elgin Larkin.
