THE MAINE WEST varsity swimmers have finished fourth in the Interim standings. The tankmen's 6-3 record placed them behind Proviso West, Glenbrook North, and Deerfield.

THE SOPH MERMEN ended their season with a 7-3 conference mark, good enough for third place. Niles West was first.

IN GYMNASTICS an eighth place was the result of a 3-7 season record. Prospect copped the title with a perfect 10-0 mark. The West Sophs won their last two conference outings to give them a 2-9 standing.

THE JV GRAPPLERS took eighth place in the conference with a 4-6 record. With a 7-3-1 the sophs did better coming out in sixth spot. The littlest Warriors fared best of all turning in a fifth place with a 6-4 conference record.

SOME INTRAMURAL ACTION saw Ed Churney and Dick Chamberlain place first and second, respectively, in the senior free throw contest. Terry Fiddelke and Richard Wills took a close first and second in the junior competition.

COACH CARSTENS' EIGHTH period gym class, captained by Al Slowik, captured first place in the senior intramural BB tourney. Team members were Slowik, J. Brennan, G. Ciezadlo, G. Kraft, C. Longley, J. Malocha, B. Wagner, and T. Wennstrom.

CAPTAIN MARV RICHARDS' junior team captured first place in the class. On the team were B. Carlson, P. Chapman, R. Brasch, P. Huard, D. Rogers, B. Reitz, L. Sherman, and J. Lussky.

IN THE INTRAMURAL wrestling tournament, R. Rordiguez, R. Tipton, M. Malloy, T. Corona, E. Henry, and R. Bentgen captured freshman crowns. Sophomore titles were won by P. Harrison, G. Knutson, and D. Schellin. Junior winners were J. Rousey, T. Riddell, B. Nickel, and B. Unroe. M. Jacobson and J. Juvinall captured wins in the senior division.
