Warrior of the West
"We have a good chance of taking the conference championship this year," remarked Dave Aegerter, this week's Warrior of the West. Besides lettering twice in football, Dave also takes part in basketball and baseball and has lettered in each.

When asked about the importance of a team working together, Dave adds, "The main lesson I've learned from athletics is teamwork, not individual greatness. The best illustration of this is our state baseball championship last spring. That was all teamwork!"

One of Dave's greatest qualities lies in his competitive spirit. The coaches observe that he never gives up. When asked about another possible championship in baseball, Dave remarked, "Another state crown could be a reality with a lot of hustle and hard work."

One of Dave's most embarrassing moments at Maine came during his sophomore year. Coach Freeman ran out of white basketball shorts in his size, and so he sent Dave in with blue ones on. The opposing coach quickly protested and had him removed from the game.
Rating high on Dave's list of greats are a certain senior girl, casseroles, and the Kingston Trio. "Older people with big cars who drive at speeds of only 10 to 15 mph and block traffic are my pet peeves," he says.

Dave is also a member of Brotherhood Society. After graduation he hopes to attend the University of Wisconsin.
