Mr. Jack Pernecky, who was the judge of this year's "Solo Ensemble Festival," gave the highest ratings to the violin solo given by Roberta Wells '65, and the quartet consisting of Roberta, Marianela Jones '64, Jon Koumougis '63, and Carol Copeland '65. Those that placed high in the orchestra groups were Peggy Maclagen '67, on the violin, who was accompanied by Bill Cook '66, and a trio with Pamela Williquette '66, Peggy Maclagen '67, and Ken Paulini '66, who were accompanied by Mark Nichols '67.

Other groups received ratings according to their performances and the ones that received a rating of "excellent" were Joe Wadz '66, violin solo, accompanied by Mary Leonard '65;

Cheryl Kline '67, cello solo, accompanied by Bob Krause '65: Shirley Mieritz '67, violin solo, accompanied by Dawn Piotter '65; Nancy Wille '64, and Margie Wille '65, duet, accompanied by Bob Krause '65 Christine Haarvig '66, violin solo, accompanied by Bob; and Carol Copeland '65, cello solo, accompanied by Virginia Schaefer '65.
