Gym Leaders Are Chosen For Next Year
All sophomore girls who were interested in becoming junior leaders and then senior leaders filed applications. The girls assist in teaching skills, dispensing, setting up, and collecting equipment, warm ups and demonstrations, arrangement of tournaments, instruction in class activity, management of the class organization, intramural program, and acting as an official in a game situation.

Four Maine West students have been chosen for the leader program at Maine South. They are J. Bengston, C. Landeck, M. Lukaszenski, and P. Mastores.

Miss Corrine Clark, Girls' Physical Education chairman, defines a leader as being sincere fair, faithful and friendly, tactful and considerate, patient, democratic and humble., A leader must learn to be ingenious, to improvise, to originate, to motivate, to stimulate, to operate. Being able to be a follower is also a characteristic a leader must possess according to Miss Clark.
