Movie Star Interviewed
By Diane Walsh

Born with a perfect face for a camera, driven by a boundless appetite and a fierce temper, an ex‑collegian has emerged as Hollywood's brightest young actress, Paula Prentiss.

Paula Prentiss, the talented young lady who came to films straight from Northwestern University via the classic Cinderella route, is seen in "Man's Favorite Sport?" as a public relations girl for a fishing tourney.

One of Hollywood's tallest feminine stars, Paula stands 5 feet 9 inches. At 26, "Man's Favorite Sport?" is her sixth star role in less than three years. Paula is married to her college sweetheart, actor‑director, Richard Benjamin.

Miss Prentiss remarked on the Beatles, "I'm not with it yet. I can't put the image and the music together."
When asked if she would have dropped out of school in the event of an earlier invitation to stardom, she answered, "No, I felt I never could have done a professional job!" She feels that to portray a character well you must "transcend" yourself. She realizes that it is inevitable that any character she portrays will carry over into her own life.

In answer to a question on her goal she replies, "I want to find out what style I possess."

Paula's hunger sometimes seems larger than life and despite her caloric intake, she weighs only 122 pounds. As a result she owns a long, coltish model's figure capped by a wonder of a face, all planes and cheekbones, with big, deep brown eyes and a mouth that stretches to an incredible length when she laughs.

Paula Prentiss is indeed a personality-vital, real, and with a wonderful sense of humor.
