VOL. V, NO. 11
"Jumping 5 feet, 8 inches against Evanston in my sophomore year was my biggest thrill in track," claimed Paul Neuman, this week's Warrior of the West.
Paul, who earned his varsity letter in track during his sophomore year, is one of the most versatile trackmen. Paul competes regularly for West in the broad jump, high jump, and 50‑yard dash; and in outdoor track, runs on the 800‑yard relay team. He represents the top man for the thinclads in all of these events.
Besides being an M‑Club member, Paul spends his spare time with a brunette sophomore from St. Pat's and also enjoys playing the trumpet. Fruit juices rate high on Paul's list of favorites.
Of this year's track team, Paul commented, "The distance men are consistent, so it's up to the fieldmen if the team is to be a success."
After graduation, Paul plans to attend Marquette University and major in mechanical engineering.
Against Elgin, Paul had firsts in both the broad jump and high jump events. Tonight, Paul will enter the Evanston Invitational with hopes of bringing more glory to the Warrior squad. Paul also competes for the trackmen during the outdoor season and enjoys much success on the turf.
