Parents Planning Late‑Date
"The many hours of planning by our After‑Prom Committee," asserted Mrs. Harry Hartung, Co‑Chairman with Mr. Hartung, "have not been a hardship so long as the seniors support and enjoy the outing to Nippersink. It will be a time of good fellowship and memorable occasion for all who participate."

When the Senior Prom ends at 11:30 p.m. on June 5th, a buffet supper will be served in the cafeteria for the after‑prom late‑daters. The late‑daters will then change into sport clothes and be transported to the train in Des Plaines by bus. The train will consist of brand new Northwestern double‑decker cars and baggage cars for dancing.

On arrival at Nippersink Manor Resort, a hearty breakfast will be served.
The morning hours will be filled with activities of the couple's choice, including swimming, dancing, badminton, horseshoes, tennis, volleyball, shuffleboard, and hiking. If weather is bad, Nippersink Manor Resort is equipped to entertain and provide activity for everyone inside the lodge, including a late run technicolor movie and a heated pool.

At noon on Saturday a fried chicken luncheon will be served, after which couples will depart by bus to board the train in Genoa City for the trip home, arriving in Des Plaines at approximately 3:15 p.m.

The entire affair will cost $25, with a $5 reservation fee due on or before April 24th for planning purposes. The $20 balance will be due on or before May 22nd.
