V‑Show Needs Our Support
Where are those who have been criticizing our school spirit? Where are those who have taken every opportunity available to condemn Student Council and student participation?

This year's V-Show is proving the ingenuity, talent, and skill of our Student Council and the student body. V-Show is the only activity completely sponsored and managed by the students themselves and is once again proving the initiative of Maine West students. An enormous task is now being faced by many V-Show staff members who are working long and hard hours on this student production.
Student Council raised money for many worthwhile causes this year such as the AFS Drive, the TB Drive, and the fund for Mrs. Tippet. It also sponsors and assists financially the Dial Tone, the Homecoming Dance and Jitney, Memory Record, and Student Council conventions. Student Council makes no profits from these projects. V‑Show is the sole money‑making project of the year and will replenish the Student Council's treasury for next year.

This is our V‑Show, and we determine whether or not it will be a success. This is our chance to serve Student Council by participating or supporting V‑Show instead of criticizing it. We can make V‑Show a student activity we will all be proud of.
