Student Council
Two Mainites Attend IASC
The Pick‑Congress Hotel will serve as the residence, and Lyons High School, LaGrange, as host, for the 30th annual convention of the Illinois Association of Student Councils (IASC). More than 1,200 high school leaders and their advisors will meet April 30th‑May 2nd. The Maine West Student Council is fortunate to be able to send two delegates to the convention, Diane Clarke '64, secretary, and Paula Clayton '65.

The State Convention officers honored Diane by appointing her a discussion leader. Paula is attending the convention as secretary of the Northwest District of the IASC. She and the Northeast District president are in charge of a Discussion Leaders' Workshop.
Saturday morning at the general session, candidates for state offices will present campaign speeches, after which the delegates will adjourn to vote. The newly elected officers will be announced and installed, and the new president of the IASC will adjourn the convention.

Sandy Kunkel '65, was elected as secretary‑treasurer of the Interim League this month, retaining her position for one year.
