Tennis Team Scores Win
On Tuesday, May 5th, the varsity tennis team will travel to Prospect to battle the Knights in the 2nd round of Conference play. The meet will start at 4:15 p.m.

On Thursday, April 23rd, the varsity netmen swamped the Forest View Falcons by a score of 5-0. This was, by far, the best played meet of the year. Cliff Vogel, playing 1st singles, edged past John Pardee of Forest View by scores of 6-8, 6-4, 7-5. Warrior Jeff Clement, won the 2nd singles 6-1, 6-1 from Guy Jensen. Jim Richards beat Jim Buckholz at 3rd singles 6-1, 6-3.
In the doubles bracket, Bob Poyer and Bob French trounced Kokla and Hodson 6-1, 6-1. Rob Reinhardt and Claude Stewart won the 2nd doubles from Karp and Timmerman 6-3, 6-3.

On Tuesday, April 21st, the varsity racketmen were beaten by the Conference-leading Deerfield Warriors. The only victory for West came from the 1st doubles position, when Poyer and French beat Baum and Peterschmidt, 6-4, 7-5. So far Poyer and French have not been defeated in Conference play.
