Thespians Plan For Induction
"Stage work is an important aspect of your high school career," asserted Dick Nedwed '64, president of Thespian Society. "Besides having fun, you learn to work with other people, gain experience, leadership, and responsibility."
The sponsor of the society is Mr. James Killam, an industrial arts teacher at Maine West. Officers include Dick Nedwed '64, president; Davis Hall '64, vice‑president; and Peg Johnson '64, secretary.
The Thespians' motto is "Act well your part, therein all the honor lies." The purpose of the society is to promote interest in the dramatic arts. Thespians is a national organization.
The Thespian Society Initiation Banquet is to take place May 29th. The society plans to have 40 new members who qualified for membership with 100 hours of stage work.
Next year it is the society's desire to present a major play, similar to the one the Senior Class presents.
