Sorority Information Party Planned
for Senior Girls
All senior girls planning to enter college in the fall should circle Sunday, May 24, on their social calendars! That's the day Des Plaines Panhellenic members will entertain senior girls and their mothers at the annual Sorority Information Party to be held this year at 3 p.m. in the Faculty Lounge at Maine West.

Mrs. M. William Hanck, 1072 Jeannette, is chairman of the affair which is held to help prospective college girls in the Des Plaines area learn about rushing, sorority membership and college life in general. It gives the senior girls and their mothers an opportunity to meet sorority alumnae from many colleges and to ask questions about campus life, clothes, and expenses.
Guest speaker at the May 24 Information Party will be Mrs. Burton Pearsall, Nationally known sorority woman from Dundee, Illinois. In addition to Mrs. Pearsall's talk, followed by a question‑and‑answer period, there will be a display of sorority pins and publications and college Panhellenic handbooks from many nearby colleges and universities which will give information about specific dates and rushing rules at these schools. Refreshments will be served following the informative program.

Invitations are being sent to all Maine West senior girls who have indicated they plan to enter college in the fall. However, should any girls interested in attending the party not have received invitations, Mrs. Hanck requests that they call her at 827-1708 for further details and reservations.
