The varsity golfmen were victorious again this week with consecutive wins over Glenbrook South and Deerfield. Head coach David Henry's men have a 7-1 record to date and a 4-1 Conference mark.

In a meet played Tuesday against Deerfield at the Thorngate Country Club, Maine won 321.332. Low men for West were Ross with 78 and Blenner and Rowells with 80. This loss for Deerfield was their first of the year on their home course.

Against Glenbrook South Monday, the Warriors set a new school record by carding a 309 total. Leading the Warriors were Greene with a 74, Pemoller with a 76, and Ross with a 79. Glenbrook South totaled 319 on the Chesterfield course.
In District competition last Friday, the Mainites finished a fine second out of 16 teams. Leading West were Rowells with a 76 and Greene with a 78.

Prospect, playing on its home course, won the meet with a 305 total. Maine totaled 315.

Low men in District competition were Huntley and Miller of Prospect with 72 and 73, respectively Rowells finished in a tie for fifth place and was low medalist for West with his round of 76.
