Steve Named As Merit Semifinalist
Steve Ross '64, has been named as a semifinalist in the 1963-64 Merit Scholarship competition.
Steve is among 13,000 seniors in the United States who won recognition as semifinalists. They all achieved this through outstanding work on the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. Students in over 16,500 high schools were given this test last March.

To become a finalist now, Steve must qualify on a second examination, be recommended by the school, and meet other requirements. The Merit Scholars will be selected from the remaining finalists.
The president of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation remarked, "The future leaders of our nation will be found among young people who have the qualities and inspirations represented by these semifinalists."
