Sawisch Is New Willie
Bucky Sawisch '66, is the new "Willie the Warrior." He was chosen last week in tryouts after school. The other contestant was Jack Hoehn '65.
On the Student Council committee to make the selection were Rick Isenbarger '66, Bill Jonas '66, and Pete Kulik '66, chairman. Asked to help the committee were members of the Varsity cheerleading squad, Nancy Hulke '64, Patti Kargas '64, Sandy Kunkel '65, Donna Meir '64, Chris Peterson '65, and Linda Petkus '65.
It was suggested by a student who attended the tryouts that "Willie" should be a seasonal symbol with tryouts before each sport season. This suggestion was adopted and it was agreed there would be another tryout before the basketball season.
